WORLDWIDE LOCAL PRESS
Advertisements for EFL teachers appear in the
relevant columns of various newspapers worldwide. These are an
excellent source for those already living abroad, but they can also
be consulted on-line from your own country. You will need to begin
by choosing a country and city and knowing the name of the newspaper
for that area, eg: in Vancouver you would look up ‘Vancouver Sun
newspaper’. |

LANGUAGE SCHOOLS
These are too numerous to
list. Go to the Yellow/Golden pages of any city and look under
“schools – language”, “schools – English”, etc. |
TOURIST OFFICES
Often keep lists of language
schools recognized/approved by the local authorities in various
cities. |
LIBRARIES
Libraries are an excellent source of
lists of schools (public & private). In Vancouver, go to UBC, Koerner
Library, 2nd floor and request ‘World of Learning" which lists
colleges and universities in every country in the world. |
